Ever forget someone’s Birthday?
Have you ever forgotten someone’s Birthday? I have and would come up with excuses of why.
That person doesn’t care about your excuses. They are hurt that you didn’t remember.
That was their Special day and they felt like no one cared. I make it a habit now to gather birthdays as I go through the year, so I am prepared for the next year. In return when I remember someone’s birthday they are so excited and they store that in their memory bank .
When you least expect it, they decide to do something nice for you and it’s not even your Birthday or a Holiday. How does that make you feel? You felt appreciated I bet.
I was watching my pets today as they were all curled up sleeping and all of a sudden it dawned on me, that it was my Dog’s birthday. She turned 4. I had bought her a new toy a few days earlier so I would take her outside and play with her. I should sing to her but she would look at me as though I went goofy.
I though for a moment. A pet doesn’t even care if you forget that day. They still will look at you to give them attention. They meow or bark in their way of telling you that they appreciate the love you give to them. If you pet them, play with them they are content.
My cats actually show when they are neglected. One of them will run from room to room as fast as can be, trying to get the others to join in. When they don’t. the dog figures she will chase the cats and play with them. It’s just their way of showing each other that they are appreciated.
It is funny when the dog is sleeping on her back, my smallest cat will go up to the dog lick her ear and then curl up and be content. If they could only talk. Now that I remembered the dog’s birthday, I don’t feel like a crumb.
